Earth Dog Studios is an autonomous collective of passionate writers and artists, driven by their shared dream of creating the greatest comics in the world.  Starting as a small publisher in 2017, Earth Dog Studios rapidly grew into the international juggernaut creative team you now see today.

MAjor Designs was Earth Dog’s first choice when it came to web design, development and hosting.  The first phase of EarthDog used a WordPress Multi-site setup.  The plan was to have a sub-site for each title in EDS’s arsenal and the multi-site setup would give the admins one back-end to control all the content.  We had one WP install controlling EarthDogStudios.com, SocketComics.com and WaterWars2288.com.  The site launched but was not generating any orders or any good organic traffic.

So we went through a re-vamp and instead focused on content and products instead of the “network of sites” approach.  WooCommerce was installed and a new theme was developed from scratch.  We integrated PayPal and WooCommerce Payments to accept payment methods for online orders.  Products were added which offer both digital and physical formats of their books.  Shortly after launching, a few orders started rolling in.  Organic traffic also started graining some traction so landing pages were developed to help increase SEO and search engine traffic.

The team at Earth Dog Studios doesn’t have much of a staff to update and maintain the website.  So they utilize MAjor Designs’ management services to keep plug-ins up to date, add content to the site and manage any orders coming through the website.  This includes handling customer service issues like errors during checkout or other website related errors.
